All summer long, I’ll be logging all my kilometers and activities, following along a virtual route (including scenic milestones!) in Israel!  

This campaign isn’t just to stay active - JNF Canada is raising funds for the Negev’s first ever rehabilitation hospital. This is really life-changing for a far region that lacks access to adequate rehab care. Some of society’s most vulnerable citizens – children and adults with severe complex disabilities and medical conditions – must travel to the center of Israel for treatment, far from family and community and with added financial costs of travel and accommodation. Often, they do not complete their rehabilitation and remain dependent for the rest of their lives. This is a devastating loss for many.  

To build a better and more accessible medical network for under-served communities in the Negev, JNF Canada is raising funds for the Neurological Patient Ward at ADI Nahlat Eran Neuro-Orthopedic Rehabilitation Hospital – the first of its kind in the region.  The 108-bed hospital will provide comprehensive rehabilitation programs to hundreds of patients, with dedicated neurological and orthopedic wards to advance this life-changing work. A new hospital in this region will allow patients to complete their treatment and rejoin their families, homes and communities.
